It isn't tied into ...
It isn't tied into the fuel system, but the compressor runs off the engine. When the A/C is on, it puts a load on the? engine, which will make it consume more fuel. It may not be a major load, but it is still using energy.
Wow,? this was ...
Wow,? this was terrible.
a/c has no effect ...
a/c has no effect whatsoever on gas mileage... the airconditioning system has absolutely nothing to do? with the fuel system in cars that arent extremely old...
Hi, I work as a ...
Hi, I work as a pizza delivery guy. i'd like to say this didn't help me worth a f**k? f****t.
This guy is ...
This guy is retarded. Everybody tries to buy the cheapest gas but it only hurts your mileage. Premium gas gives you better mileage and also keeps your engine cleaner and reduces it's struggle. I buy BP Premium with Invigorate* and I get pretty good mileage. A/C KILLS you mileage. Drive with it off? as much as possible. If you're not in a hurry, don't speed. Keep your windows up when driving above about 50 or so. Driving with sludgy oil is a bad idea too.
Happy mileage gaining! (:
If you REALLY want ...
If you REALLY want to know how to save fuel in YOUR car, as every car is different no matter what these idiot "experts" tell you, buy an ultraguage or scanguage and you can see how much fuel you are consuming in real? time and adjust your driving habits to maximize it. Windows up? Windows down? A/C on? 60 mph? 75 mph? Just watch the display and figure it out yourself.
That isn't entirely ...
That isn't entirely true. They source their fuel from the same refineries? but do different things to it. Some are top tier companies, some are not. I have a friend who drives fuel delivery trucks...
actually, every gas ...
actually, every gas station is forced to go by certain guidelines to be able to run. every gas station is basically the same. there is? really no gas station better than another. (except by pricing)
Asked the owner to ...
Asked the owner to reserve? the pump? Sure pal....
Also, it should ...
Also, it should have been mentioned in the video, AVOID ETHANOL! It isn't any cheaper and? really kills your MPG. Theres a hundred conspiracy theories why that junk is being forced on us but the fact remains that it gives your car much worse fuel economy. I lose 2-3 MPG with a 10% blend and since my car only averages about 20 mpg anyway, its a big hit. Gas prices are up and we are made to use fuel that nets less MPG so we have to buy more of it... somebody is getting rich.
Some of this is ...
Some of this is just plain wrong. My car gets the best mileage at 75 mph, proven through many trips from LA to San Diego and back. The cruise control is worse for your car as its always running the engine up and down. Accelerating slowly keeps your car in lower gears which means higher RPM at a slower speed. The quicker you can get to your high or overdrive gears the less fuel you use. Short of flooring it, you want to get to the posted speed as quick as? possible.

What a load of s**t,how about some actual mechanical knowledge on saving petrol, bigger and colder air intake, better exhaust etc and 98 octane fuel goes great in any? car,i get an extrax 100kms out of my tank on premium

im not giving up driving or? even driving less. bad idea to tell to enthusiasts!

try advancing your timing to suit the? higher octance
He said right away, ...
He said right away, the less you start your vehicle up the more economical it is, because it spends the most gas in? the first 5 minutes while the catalytic converter warms up. Soooo driving less means making less trips. Start up your car once and get your stuff done, and you will be better off.
I completely agree, ...
I completely agree, i read that and ignored the rest of the? video. Not driving as much simply saves money on gas because you aren't using it as much, it doesn't make your mileage increase
terrible video.
driving? less won't ...
driving? less won't give you better milage. that's misleading
@ budoghost1 ...
@ budoghost1 Premium gas doesn't have more power. The octane rating is the fuel's resistance to pre-ignition. Engines are designed to have the fuel-air mix burn at a fixed point in the cycle, not explode randomly.

Conclusion: If your engine is not designed with high-octane fuel in mind, you just burn money
@ 051egan: this post is for you too!
Tired of checking ...
Tired of checking tire pressure? Try Quick Pressure tire pressure monitor caps (available from? PSI 26 to PSI 165). Just replace your valve stem caps with the monitors, then the monitor will show green if the tire is properly inflated, otherwise it will start to show red. The monitors are welded, chrome plated brass, high quality. Save gas, save tires, and safer drive.
Premium gas allows ...
Premium gas allows for greater combustion so the notion that it does nothing for your vehicle unless the owner's manual says so is nonsense. Premium gas has a higher octane rating and this clearly creates more power for the same amount of gas. However, if your car? is designed to run on 87 and not minimally restricted to it you're better off with 89, you probably can't take in enough air to justify 93 and you may end up wasting gas. Any V8 or larger V6 should benefit from premium.
What he said about ...
What he said about premium MAY OR MAY NOT be true. I did this test on my 2002 F-150 4.2L V6.
I found a flat highway, and drove it at 55, 60, 65, & 70 mph, 19.7 miles each time filling my tank each time, from the SAME PUMP at the SAME STATION, asking the owner to reserve the pump.
Regular fuel -> 17 cents / mile
I drained the tank, filled it with premium; drained? it again and refilled.
I repeated the test.
Premium -> 14 cents / mile

How about the people who leave their computers on 24/7, first off loss in performance over time, second? off it's not doing anything at night unless you schedule things like virus scans or defraging.

There are better things you can do to save gas and energy... don't waste energy video taping such obvious and calling it a tip. Also consider the 14,000 people who? wasted two and a half minute of electricity watching this cr@p.
If you want to get? ...
If you want to get? better gas mileage buy a $1000 moped. It does all those things stated by greencar. And please don't listen to his stoplight acceleration tip; yes he's right, but only you benefit from that. Everyone behind you has to burn more fuel waiting at the red light that popped back up before you got your fuel saving butt across the intersection.
